Age 12-15 activities

At the pool, members will progress through the RLSS UK National Lifesaving Academy Programme which will develop their knowledge and skills in survival, rescue and CPR/First Aid, culminating in RLSS UK’s well-known Bronze Medallion award at age 14.

After completing the Bronze Medallion, members will be trained as Assistant Instructors, be mentored by our senior instructors and assist with our younger groups. Along with continuing their own training, their volunteering will enable them to achieve their Distinction award.

At the beach, a variety of SLSGB awards will be covered allowing members to develop their surf lifesaving skills, give them additional responsibility as supernumerary safety cover and also begin their training to become a qualified beach lifeguard at age 16.

Lifesaving Sport continues to be a key part of activities at the pool and beach, whether for fun or serious competition!
