An eggcellent idea to raise money!

Ernie and Rolande show off the 4.5kg eggHere's your chance to win a massive 4.5kg Easter Egg, and raise money for our new rescue boat appeal at the same time - all thanks to Segedunum Computer Systems in Wallsend.

After reading about NSVL's appeal for local businesses to help raise money for a new inshore rescue boat, Ernie Nolan of Segedunum Computer Systems on Wallsend's High Street East had the fantastic idea of running an Easter Egg Raffle.

Ernie has kindly funded a HUGE 4.5kg Easter Egg along with runner up prizes and is running the raffle from his shop, where the egg takes pride of place in his front window.

{mosimage}Ernie is enthusiastic about the appeal: "The egg is certainly generating quite a bit of interest from passers by, and we try to grab as many people as possible to buy a raffle ticket. We've already been round the local businesses and our regular customers and sold plenty of tickets, and I think it would be fantastic if we could raise a few hundred pounds for the appeal by Easter.

"Although Wallsend isn't on the coast, we all use our wonderful beaches and one day we could need the services of the lifeguards. We're just happy to be able to help and kick start the fund to get a new inshore rescue boat which will cost £8-10,000."

Raffle tickets cost £1 each and can be purchased at Segedunum Computer Systems at 162 High Street East in Wallsend. If any other businesses would be willing to assist please contact Ernie on 0191 263 5010.
