Clubmark is a Sport England accreditation scheme for clubs with a junior section. Accredited clubs comply with minimum standards laid down by Sport England in areas such as child protection, club management, and equity.

NSVL is in the process of applying for accreditation and the committee have recently been drawing together evidence for the application. It shows that in most respects, we are extremely well prepared, but there are a couple of minor gaps where we can improve.

As a result of this, two new packs have been developed – a new lifesaving classes welcome pack, and a teacher, trainer and lifeguard induction pack. Before we finalise these and send them out to members, we want to make sure that they are right.

Comments on the packs are welcome from all members, in particular on whether they are clear and whether there is anything to add in any part of them.
