We have plans to develop a competitive squad for national competitions, but in the short term we have some local competitions fast approaching.

Along with the Blyth Rookie Festival in June, this year there is also the Blyth Teams Cup Challenge at Blyth Pool ofrom 2pm on Saturday 19th April where lifesavers of all ages can take part in pool lifesaving events.

The aim is for competitors to test their lifesaving skills and for everyone to have FUN!  The competition will be followed by a disco and karaoke for the teams to pit themselves against each other once again!

This is an excellent chance for our members to meet lifesavers from other clubs and provides an excellent introduction to pool-based lifesaving competitions.

We will be running training during the normal pool sessions in the weeks leading up to the competition for those who are interested in taking part.

Entry to the competition is in the following age groups:

•    11 & unders
•    14 & unders
•    Juniors - 15-16 years
•    Open 18+
•    Masters 30+

As this is a team event, there must be multiples of four in each age group.  Entry fees are £5 per person (including the disco).

PLEASE NOTE: Parents will be responsible for transporting their child(ren) to and from Blyth and remaining with them for the duration of the competition.
