Sunshine, showers and sandy burgers Print E-mail
Despite the weather forecast, over 100 people gathered at NSVL HQ on Bank Holiday Monday for our start of season barbecue.

A feast of meat
Rounds of beach flags, volleyball and tag rugby took place under blue skies and sunshine, with a brisk breeze to keep everyone cool.  Some of the youngsters even took their first dip in the sea for the summer.

With the barbecues lit and food cooking at 5 o'clock, the heavy shower that was predicted in the weather forecast arrived and everyone scurried for shelter.  Thankfully it was shortlived and once again the sun returned for the rest of the evening.

It was great to see so many people down at the beach and enjoying themselves and hopefully it will be the start of another great summer at NSVL.
