Beach training for Rookies will be
starting this week every Thursday evening from 5pm-6pm down at the beach base (please arrive ready to start at 5pm).
The sessions will be a mixture of beach/water based activities (depending on conditions), and will prepare team members for the Blyth Rookie Carnival on Saturday 14th July.
Rookies not taking part in the competition are also welcome to attend, but all children attending must be noted on the register at the desk each Saturday or details e-mailed to

so that we know how many people to expect. There is no charge for these sessions.
For parents staying on the beach then the beach base will be open with tea and coffee making facilities. If you need to drop off your child early or pick them up slightly late then there will still be people around.
Pool sessions will be continuing on Saturday evenings and Rookies will still be expected to attend these as well. If you are unable to make the Thursday session then the beach base is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Rookies are welcome to come down and use the equipment under the direction of the lifeguards so long as they are supervised by parents.
Kit required for beach sessions:
- Wet suit (we can supply wet suits for those who do not have them some)
- Beach footwear (must provide own, old trainers will do)
- Swimming costume and towel
- T-shirt/shorts for on beach, warm clothing for afterwards
Please note: sessions WILL run whatever the weather. Alternative
indoor activities will be found if sea/weather conditions are poor.
