Listed below are Pool Lifeguard courses running in the coming months. Please note: These are external courses, not run by or associated with NSVL in any way and as a result NSVL cannot take responsibility for any aspect of the course. For all courses, the following pre-requisites apply:

• At least 16 years of age prior to commencing training
• Be able to jump/dive into deep water
• Swim 100m continuously on front and back in deep water, then tread water for 30 seconds
• Surface dive to the floor at the deepest part of the pool
• Climb out of the pool unaided without ladder/steps

The courses lead to the full National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Units 1 and 2) recognised across the UK and valid for two years from the date of assessment. For more information about becoming a pool lifeguard please visit the other pages in this section.

Intensive October 2008 -  27,28,29,30,31st October, 1st and 2nd November 2008, 8am-4pm. You must attend all sessions or have current APL ie Bronze Medallion or higher.

Weekends November 2008 - 9,15,16,22,23,29 and 30th November 2008, 8am-4pm. You must attend all sessions or have current APL ie Bronze Medallion or higher.

2009:

February    16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st & 22nd Assessment

March    8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th & 29th Assessment

April        13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th & 19th Assessment

May         23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th & 29th Assessment
