Kate and her Lifeguard teddy bear Before Christmas Rookies were asked to complete a national RLSS survey to find out their views on Rookies to assist with the development of a new and improved Rookie Programme.
Kate McHugh in the Star 2 class took the time to complete the survey and she was one of the lucky winners to receive a prize from RLSS, although as the Lifesavers jacket was a bit too big for her, she chose a Lifeguard teddy bear instead! Well done Kate!

Thanks to all those members who renewed their membership for 2007 before the end of January as requested.
There are now 161 fully paid-up members for 2007 (65 adult and 96 junior) - it took us until mid-April last year to reach 150 so this shows how much the club is growing.
For those who haven't renewed yet (you know who you are) you will not be allowed to attend pool sessions or use the beach base facilities until you do. You can download membership forms here.
