Beach Lifeguard jobs for the summer 2008 season have now been advertised by lifeguard service providers in the north-east and across the UK...and NSVL is always looking for the next generation of volunteer lifeguards!

THE NEXT BEACH LIFEGUARD COURSE STARTS RUNS OVER 4 WEEKENDS IN APRIL WHICH IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO GET QUALIFIED FOR SUMMER 2008!

NSVL members Francis and Jennifer Thompson found a novel way of raising money for the club this half term by skating over sixty miles from Tynemouth to Hartlepool and back again.

The past 2 weeks have seen NSVL members busy raising money for the club both in the water and out. 

On Friday 21st September over 90 NSVL members gathered at the Boardwalk Cafe on the beach at Whitley Bay for the club's end of season party.

On Friday 24th August, long time supporter of NSVL, John Ellis, once again completed his swim from St Mary's Lighthouse to Cullercoats Bay to raise money for the club.

It might seem like summer hasn’t yet started, but it’ll soon be time for our end of season party and presentation evening.

We may be fundraising for a new training centre, but in the meantime our current beach base facilities need to be maintained to make sure they are suitable for us to use over the harsh winter months...so we've booked the weekend of 8th and 9th September as a work weekend and we need your help!
